alma away- the madam’s quarters

THE HISTORY

Situated in the heart of Casper’s historic Sand Bar District, this space was originally a brothel and bar. The building still has whispers of its past, including the old waiting room, cherries on the wall, and even indentations where the bed posts stood.

The design story

We started with the architecture. The Madam's Quarters sits inside a historic Casper footprint that asked to be respected — not reimagined. So we leaned in. Walnut cabinetry that reads permanent. Plaster walls that shift with the light through the day. Textiles and finishes sourced from the same vendors we trust on our residential projects — Visual Comfort, Arto Tile, Rowe Furniture — plus vintage sourced pieces (of course!) .

Nothing in this suite is filler. Every fixture, every surface, every textile was chosen the way we choose for our clients: with restraint and a clear point of view. The result is warm, layered, and quietly cinematic. A historic Casper property held to a modern standard.

The Madam's Quarters is a designer-restored suite in the heart of historic downtown Casper, Wyoming — a short-term rental & AirBnB held to the same standard as our full-scale residential work. Original architectural detail. Considered materials. A fully edited furnishings program from end to end.

This is Alma Away. A place to stay that reflects exactly how we design.
