CABIN IN THE WOODS
Jackson Hole, Wyoming
Focus Keywords: Jackson, WY, cabin renovation, log cabin interior update, rustic modern design, heirloom restoration.
Project Narrative: Deep in the heart of Jackson, Wyoming, this project involved the revitalization of a family legacy. The structure is a vintage "Lincoln Log" style cabin originally assembled in the 1960s/70s by the owner's grandparents. Our approach was to respect the nostalgia of the property while updating the functionality for a new generation.
The Design Approach: Our goal was to keep the rustic character intact while modernizing the finishes to make the cabin feel spacious and livable for a family with children. We leaned into the Jackson aesthetic—rugged, warm, and collected—while stripping away the dated elements that made the space feel dark.
Key Details:
Heirloom Architecture: The massive stone fireplace, originally built by the client's grandfather using stone he found himself, remains the heart of the home. We redesigned the hearth and surround to honor that history while cleaning up the lines.
Curated Nostalgia: The interior incorporates family heirlooms, vintage posters, and ranch brands, blending personal history with updated cabinetry and fixtures.
