Pump Room

Focus Keywords: Speakeasy interior design, moody commercial decor, chevron wood flooring, metal bar face, historic preservation Casper, industrial luxury.

Project Narrative: For The Pump Room, we sought to capture the intimate, "hidden" atmosphere of an old-school speakeasy. The design is defined by its mood—dark, upholstered, and intentionally secretive—creating a sanctuary for patrons that feels worlds away from the outside world.

The Design Approach: We balanced raw, industrial textures with refined heritage details. This included a custom metal bar face and precision chevron-patterned wood floors. We leaned into the longstanding history of the site, utilizing materials that felt established and permanent.

Key Details:

  • Artifact Integration: During construction, we discovered vintage newspapers within the walls; we framed and displayed them in the conference area to serve as authentic, site-specific artifacts.

  • Chevron Artistry: The flooring features a tight chevron pattern that adds a sense of "movement" and luxury to the low-lit booth sections.

Moody Lighting: We utilized a "dark and upholstered" approach, ensuring the lighting levels remained low to maintain the exclusive, speakeasy-inspired vibe.
