Project Narrative: This ground-up build in Sheridan was designed as a "forever home" for a couple transitioning into a new chapter near their family. Moving away from the heavy, traditional oak of their past, the vision was a timeless refresh. We were involved in every step, from the initial floor plans to the final furnishings, ensuring the home felt sophisticated and youthful instead of tried or traditional.
The Design Approach: The material palette is anchored in warmth and refined neutrals. We utilized walnut doors and cabinetry to ground the space, including a custom plaster hood in the kitchen featuring a delicate walnut band. To avoid a "canned" look, we prioritized artisan pieces—including rugs sourced from Oaxaca and abstract landscapes—ensuring the home felt "collected" and inviting rather than generic.
Key Details:
Bespoke Collaboration: We partnered with Fox Farm Designs in Sheridan to create a massive, custom-scaled dining table and lazy Susan, designed specifically to fit the architecture of the dining nook.
Material Continuity: The home features wood veneer tray ceilings and high-tier lighting from Urban Electric and Visual Comfort, creating a sense of luxury that is felt rather than just seen.
The Reading Nook: We created a dedicated "kid area" featuring a playful forest wallpaper and custom sectional, ensuring the home functions as a multi-generational retreat.
Maintenance-Free Luxury: The exterior utilizes standing seam metal, brick, and stone—materials that offer a high-end aesthetic with zero maintenance, a key priority for the clients' long-term lifestyle.
